Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

The Scottish Artist Studio guest house in Dundee, Scotland, UK, offers a unique bed and breakfast experience with very comfortable accomodation, great food, fantastic views, a wonderful garden and a gallery of original paintings permanently on display.

It is close to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee Airport, Dundee University, the Scottish Crops Research Institute and the Technology Park. Dundee City centre is only five minutes away by car.

There is a choice of a full Scottish breakfast or continental summer flowers around the main entrance breakfast served in the Artist Studio where Dundee artist John Stoa creates his paintings and runs art classes and art holiday workshops. Accommodation with B & B is available to students and also their non-painting partners coming to one of John's art holiday workshops. Anna provides a home cooked lunch using fresh ingredients from the garden.

Wifi Internet Access

Wifi is available in all rooms to allow full internet access to all guests with their own computer.

The guest house has four rooms available.

Downstairs there is one south facing en-suite double room with lovely views of the river Tay and another single room recently refurbished with bathrooom adjacent.
Upstairs there is a double room and one twin room, both sharing a large bathroom adjacent.

The breakfast room faces south with panoramic views over the River Tay and into the Kingdom of Fife towards the Lomond Hills.
Two large studio windows overlook the mature garden with all year round colour framed in a landscape rich with an excellent selection of small garden trees, and an abundance of flowers and fruit, trees and shrubs. Anna shows her garden on this link to the Scottish garden.

Self-catering Accommodation

Self catering accommodation is more suited for long term guests rather than bed & breakfast, and allows full use of the kitchen and facilities including the washing machine and drying areas.the downstairs single room looks out to the garden

Original Paintings and Prints

Local artist John Stoa has his art studio on the premises and always retains a changing selection of over 50 new paintings on the walls. All guests are welcome to view this display.
These paintings and his limited edition prints are available to purchase for guests at a 10% discount to website price. acrylic painting of rhododendron by John StoaArt is an excellent investment in times of economic recession.

Art Holiday Workshops with accommodation

The Scottish Artist Studio also hosts John's Art Holiday Workshops held every month from early March to September. The new programme of art workshops for 2008 can be seen on this link to his art holiday workshops.
Visitors are very welcome to book their bed and breakfast accommodation in one of the guest rooms beside the art studio, and non painting partners are also welcome as most of the rooms can accommodate couples.

John is showing a few paintings including the Rhododendron Horizon Monarch above at the Cancer Research art exhibition in the Bonar Hall in Dundee University from 11th to 13th April 2008.
